Job Description

  • This role will directly report to the Head of Compliance.
  • This role will ensure that related regulatory laws, rules, and regulations guided by the Bank Negara Malaysia as well as other regulatory bodies/ semi-regulatory bodies, are monitored, cascaded, and implemented by the organization.
  • The employee in this position mainly be tasked to perform the following:
  • Execute based on internally developed methodologies, compliance risk assessments, gap assessments and compliance assurance on key regulatory requirements to identify any compliance gaps in business processes and workflows, and make recommendations for remediation measures.
  • Monitor the prompt submission of mandatory regulatory reports by various internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise and communicate with various internal stakeholders on enhancements of policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders on key regulatory updates through summarized requirements, action to be taken and status.
  • Assist in preparing updates on Regulatory Compliance matters for the senior management and Board of Directors.
  • Execute any other tasks assigned by the Head of Compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Economics, Accountancy, Finance, Business Management, Banking or Business equivalent or related field.
  • 1 - 3 years of working experience in compliance or risk management (working experience in financial services related industry is an advantage).
  • Possess high-level knowledge of financial services regulatory environment. Relevant certification in Compliance e.g. ICA, CAM, etc, or in-depth knowledge and experience in financial crime compliance (AML/CFT), personal data protection compliance, business conduct compliance and consumer protection compliance, is an advantage.
  • Self-driven, positive attitude and team player striving for team success.
  • Resourceful, able to work independently and able to adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to multitask and agile.
