Cloud Technology Architect

Job Purpose:

The Enterprise Technology Architect – Cloud is responsible for leading the strategic direction, development, and implementation of cloud architecture frameworks at Maybank. This role is crucial in ensuring the alignment of cloud architecture initiatives with business objectives, and it supports the bank's technology strategies by guiding IT initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Cloud Architecture Development:

- Design and maintain an overarching cloud architecture strategy that aligns with Maybank’s business goals.

- Lead the integration of cloud architecture with integration, security and data architectures to enhance organizational capabilities.

2. Governance and Cloud Standards Compliance:

- Develop and enforce cloud governance standards and practices.

- Oversee the management of cloud resources, including the establishment of a cloud services catalog and detailed policies.

3. Technology Leadership and Guidance:

- Provide expert guidance on the latest cloud technologies and architectural approaches, including hybrid clouds, native cloud services, interoperability of cloud solutions.

- Lead the adoption of emerging cloud technologies and methodologies that can provide a competitive advantage.

4. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

- Collaborate with business leaders and IT teams to identify and implement cloud solutions that support business initiatives.

- Clearly communicate cloud architectural plans and benefits to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment and understanding.

5. Research and Innovation:

- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in cloud architecture.

- Lead the exploration and implementation of innovative cloud solutions to drive business growth and efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise level technology architecture.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise level cloud architecture.

- Proficiency in AWS and Azure.

- Proven track record of leading large-scale cloud architecture projects with clear personal contribution.

Certifications:

- Required: AWS or Azure Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF

- Desirable: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive technology change initiatives.
