Full Set of Accounts:
- Manage the full set of accounts including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Bank Reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings.
- Prepare and review monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and balance sheets.
- Monitor and manage customer credit terms, ensuring timely collections and credit control.
- Oversee payments to suppliers and maintain good working relationships with them.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of supplier’s via various online banking mode ie: GIRO, FPX, Telegraphic transfer, Jompay, Duitnow, RENTAS etc.
- Regularly review the ageing report and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Liaise with bankers, auditors, lawyer, company's secretary & tax agent
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management, including variance analysis.
- Ensure all financial reporting complies with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and manage annual audits with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee the submission of SST, corporate tax filings, and other related statutory requirements.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Work closely with department heads to prepare the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure liquidity management for daily operations.
- Provide insights into financial performance and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
Cash Flow Management:
- Manage the company's cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds for daily operations and future commitments.
- Liaise with banks for financing facilities and monitor bank account activities.
Inventory & Cost Management:
- Coordinate with the Procurement and Warehouse teams to manage stock levels and inventory valuation.
- Review stock movement and conduct stock take reconciliations.
- Monitor and manage cost of goods sold (COGS) to ensure healthy gross profit margins.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Set departmental KPIs and oversee staff performance appraisals.
System & Process Improvement:
- Work on continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems (ERP, accounting software, etc.) to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure proper documentation of processes and procedures.
Ad-Hoc Duties:
- Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and business analysis as requested by senior management.
- Any other tasks as assigned from time to time by the Management
Support HR payroll activities:
- Managing payroll systems to ensure accurate and timely salary payments. Handling statutory payments for EPF, PCB, SOCSO, EIS, and HRDF on time.
- Preparation of year-end payroll, tax reporting and Form E & EA.
- Liaise with government department and regulatory bodies. (KWSP, PERKESO, LHDN, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the wholesale, trading, or FMCG industry.
- Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and financial reporting standards is added advantage.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, SQL, or other ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
