Position Overview:

iBroad Solutions is seeking a skilled Data Engineer with cloud experience to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures that support our analytics and business intelligence initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring data quality and accessibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, construct, test, and maintain data architectures, including data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to gather data from various sources, ensuring high data quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Optimize data pipelines for scalability and efficiency, leveraging cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance data engineering capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in a cloud environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Apache NiFi).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications in data engineering or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer) are desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
