JOB DESCRIPTION
TRADING:
- Review weekly trading performance and achieved KPIs, identifying issues and the course of action in preparation for the weekly trading meetings
- Weekly store visits
- Propose and agree on actions to recover risk and maximise opportunities with the Buyer at category and line level
- Forecasting any sales variance
- Creations of OTB
- Management of commitments by ensuring on-time delivery and rebuy cancellation
- Markdown proposal
- Promotions proposal
- Manage the range plan in Season reflecting any changes
TEAMWORK:
- Work with Buyer to deliver the plan
- Guide the team of Merchandiser / Assistant Merchandiser to help deliver the plan
- Establish working relationships with Store Operations, Visuals, Marketing, Finance, and Logistic

PLANNING
- Review the previous season capture the lessons learned and create the strategy for the department going forward with the buyer
- MSSI Management
- Quarterly plan at gender/brand level with the Buyer and formulate a range plan
- Attend selection/pre-selection meetings with the Buyers and suppliers
- Plan the pre-scheduling to meet the range plan – in conjunction with Assistant Merchandisers
- Overview of the ratios for all buys in conjunction with Assistant Merchandiser
- Ensure that the Buy matches the Buy plan
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the retail industry as a Merchandiser
- Analytical mindset
- Numbers driven
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Regional exposure will be an added advantage
