Job Description

Working in a team of 6 within the consolidation/financial planning and analysis (“FP&A”) team at Group Finance, HQ. The role directly supports the Assistant Manager, FP&A in preparing the group financial report of Sime Darby Property Group.

Monthly tasks

  • Perform financial analysis to understand the financial performance of the Group, include conducting variance and trend analysis in sales, revenue and cost
  • Assist in preparation of monthly group financial reporting deck
  • Review entities’ management accounts as submitted to consolidation via sanity checks and highlight errors to entities’ accountants
  • Monthly closing of intermediate investment holding companies

Quarterly and annual reporting

  • Prepare reports for approval of Audit Committee and Board of Directors on quarterly basis
  • Annual report:-
  • Prepare consolidation workings of selected notes in the group audited financial statements and assist in drafting the overall group financial statements
  • Assist in preparation of Management Discussion and Analysis report and review the overall financial related information in annual report
  • Annual General Meeting - prepare analysis of financial statement and responses to shareholder’s questions
  • Liaise with external auditors and provide information and documents required for audit purposes

Other accounting / ad-hoc matters

  • Support other ad-hoc projects, reporting and financial analysis.
  • Assist in enhancing group-wide data analytics and collection, as well as dashboarding
  • Assist in attending to enquiries from other internal departments, management and external parties on consolidated financials
