Summary Role

  • Maintain oversight of the mechanical integrity of the operational assets and report any related equipment failures or maintenance and inspection inefficiencies.
  • Investigate mechanical equipment failures/deficiencies to determine cause, and;
  • Review maintenance and inspection history to identify any shortfalls that did or could have contributed to the failure/deficiency.
  • Detail any requirements to prevent future occurrence or improve efficiency.
  • Assess operational risks associated with mechanical failures/deficiencies.
  • Maintain status report on operational asset mechanical equipment integrity, associated risks and planned corrective actions.
  • Audit operated assets to assess;
  • Mechanical equipment integrity.
  • Maintenance and inspection effectiveness.
  • Corrective action plans associated with any deficiencies identified.
  • Opportunities to improve maintenance and inspection efficiency and/or effectiveness.
  • Provide technical support to operations management teams on matters related to;
  • Mechanical equipment failures.
  • Mechanical equipment maintenance and inspection shortfalls or backlogs.
  • Quality and effectiveness of mechanical equipment repair, maintenance and inspection reporting.

Job Duties

  • Maintain effective oversight of Synergy Life, CMMS and Asset Daily Reports to identify and record mechanical equipment failures, associated risks and corrective action plans.
  • Provide technical support to the Operations team related to mechanical equipment failure investigations, inefficiencies, repairs, maintenance and inspections.
  • Collaborate and interface with various TA’s/SMEs to further develop and maintain the asset integrity status reporting system. Ensure this system effectively captures mechanical equipment status, associated risks and integrity management effectiveness.

Required Experience

  • At least 10-15 years of working experience as a Maintenance Supervisor onboard of FPSO, LNG Carrier.
  • Marine Engineer Certificate
  • Experience in maintenance of auxiliary machinery i.e. pumps, compressor, Generator and Cryogenic Equipment, boiler, Electrical and Instrumentation system, equipment on deck for LNG cargo operation.
  • Familiar with repair job.
  • Experience in dry docking
  • Experience in maintaining CMMS
  • Experience in Auditing
  • Experience in carrying our equipment failure investigation
