- Safety operates a lorry to transport goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation, including delivery receipts and vehicle maintenance records.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo as necessary.
- Valid GDL Class D/E driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a lorry driver or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and handle loading/unloading tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Possess at least Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with GPS and other navigation tools.
- Familiarity with logistics and delivery operations.
- Customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
