Job Description

As a Junior Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the social media team by creating engaging content, staying ahead of social media trends, and assisting in the execution of various campaigns. Reporting directly to the Social Media Lead, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with the team while gaining valuable insights into digital marketing, content creation, and analytics.

Job Responsibilities

Social Media Content Creation & Experimentation:

  • Create and schedule engaging content across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and incorporate them into campaigns.
  • Experiment with various content formats (video, graphics, stories) to enhance engagement and test new ideas.


Trend Monitoring & Idea Generation

  • Proactively research and keep up with new trends, social media updates, and competitor activity.
  • Share fresh ideas and insights with the team to ensure campaigns remain innovative and relevant.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to creative campaign planning.


Campaign Support & Reporting

  • Assist in executing social media campaigns and ensuring that they align with client and company goals.
  • Analyze campaign performance through social media metrics and analytics, providing insights to improve future efforts.
  • Contribute to performance reports, ensuring accuracy and understanding of the data presented.


Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with the Social Media Lead and the wider creative and marketing teams to ensure consistency and quality in all content and campaigns.
  • Actively participate in team discussions, voicing ideas and contributing to the overall strategy.
  • Work with minimal supervision, adhering to deadlines and quality standards while managing your own tasks.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or relevant experience in marketing, communications, or related fields (preferred but not required).
  • A passion for social media, content creation, and staying up to date with the latest trends.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a hybrid working environment.
  • Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Proficient in English and Malay. Chinese proficiency is a bonus.


Preferred Skills

Basic experience with content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).

Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics platforms.
