Job Description

  • Supervise and lead a team of fraud analysts in monitoring merchant transactions for potential fraudulent activities.
  • Develop and implement fraud detection and prevention strategies tailored to a low-automation environment.
  • Conduct thorough investigations of suspected fraudulent transactions, including reviewing transaction patterns, merchant behaviors, and customer complaints.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Customer Service, Risk Management, and IT, to ensure comprehensive fraud prevention measures.
  • Provide training and guidance to the fraud team on best practices and emerging fraud trends.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on fraud incidents, trends, and mitigation efforts to senior management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry fraud trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of fraud detection tools and processes.
  • Act as the point of contact for escalated fraud cases, ensuring timely resolution and communication with affected parties.
  • Participate in the design and execution of internal audits and compliance checks related to fraud prevention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFE) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fraud prevention and detection, preferably in the fintech or e-wallet industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading a team in a fraud prevention environment.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify and mitigate fraud risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with manual fraud detection techniques and processes.
  • Proficiency in using basic fraud detection tools and software.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the fintech industry.
