Hybrid Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview:

The Hybrid Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer will manage, maintain, and optimize both Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and on-premise Microsoft infrastructure solutions, with a focus on integrating Microsoft 365, SCCM, and Intune for efficient patch management, software deployment, and system administration.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Microsoft Azure Infrastructure:

• Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure services (e.g., VMs, networking, storage, databases).
• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Implement and manage Azure Active Directory, Azure Site Recovery, and Backup solutions.
• Configure and optimize Azure networking services, including VPNs, ExpressRoute, and load balancers.
• Ensure cloud security and compliance with industry standards.

2.On-Premise Microsoft Infrastructure:

• Manage and maintain on-premise Microsoft environments (e.g., Windows Server, Active Directory).
• Administer patch management and software deployment through SCCM and Intune.
• Ensure secure and reliable management of Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams).
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues across both cloud and on-premise environments.
• Perform server patching, upgrades, and compliance management using SCCM and Intune.

3.Hybrid Environment Management:

• Ensure seamless integration between on-premise infrastructure and Azure cloud environments.
• Manage hybrid identity solutions using Azure AD Connect, ensuring secure access to resources.
• Oversee workload migrations between on-premise and cloud environments, including Microsoft 365 services.
• Monitor and optimize performance for both cloud and hybrid systems.

4.Security & Compliance:

• Implement security best practices, including role-based access controls (RBAC), identity and access management (IAM), and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the security team to mitigate risks and secure hybrid environments.

5.Collaboration & Support:

• Collaborate with IT teams and departments to provide infrastructure support across cloud and on-premise environments.
• Assist with advanced troubleshooting and escalation of infrastructure issues.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for cross-team knowledge sharing.

6.Continuous Improvement:

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and solutions to enhance hybrid infrastructure performance.
• Stay current with new features and developments in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, SCCM, and Intune.
• Implement automation where possible to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience managing both on-premise and cloud-based Microsoft infrastructure.
• Proficiency in managing Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Azure VMs, Azure AD, networking).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Strong knowledge of SCCM and Intune for patch management, software deployment, and device management.
• Experience with Active Directory and hybrid identity management (Azure AD Connect).
• Familiarity with networking (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing) and Windows Server administration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect).
• Experience with automation tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar).
• Knowledge of hybrid identity solutions and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
• Strong understanding of cloud security practices and compliance.
