Job Responsibilities

What you will do:

Assist in the management and execution of the spend portfolio of the Technology silver spend category within the Strategic Sourcing function of Astro Group Procurement. This area of Procurement seeks to manage and negotiate the lower value spends with interfaces around the whole business, supporting a fast and value-based approach to sourcing.

Strategic Sourcing & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage the End-to-End Strategic Sourcing for all spend categories to deliver strategic value
  • Manage in function in accordance with the Procurement Operating Model
  • Formulate smart sourcing performance through analysis and execution of Sourcing Discovery, Pipeline planning, Requirements Planning, Demand Management, Supplier selection and Smart Sourcing Strategies
  • Execute all Sourcing activities in a timely manner to achieve value driven targeted outcomes
  • Proposal analysis and ensuring sourcing activities are planned and executed to agreed timelines
  • Devise and execute effective commercial and contractual negotiations
  • Manage sourcing outcomes to effectively communicate and gain approvals across the business
  • Develop and maintain strong, open and creative relationships with stakeholders across Business Units, Finance, Legal and other functions
  • Responsible for briefing and communicating with the stakeholders (internal customers) on deployment plans, progress of projects, timelines, issues and their respective roles/responsibilities

Risk Management

  • Ensure risk management techniques are utilised to minimise and mitigate risks across the supplier base

Value Management

  • Maintain accurate contracts database for all category contracts
  • Manage Category Sourcing Pipelines (existing & new requirements)
  • Manage the overall Category Value Delivery program
  • Manage Value tracking in line with functional targets

Requirements

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or other relevant fields.
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written communicator, and a team player.
  • Good planning, organisational and project management skills.
  • Analytical and detailed oriented.
  • Good commercial acumen.
  • Proficient commercial negotiator.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Other Desired Traits/competencies

  • Knowledge or experience in Strategic Procurement.
