Senior Analysis Engineer - Pipeline Installation

We are looking for a Senior Analysis Engineer (Pipeline Installation) to join our Pipeline Group (PG) team at our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia office on a full-time, permanent basis.
Our Analysis Engineers are recognised for their expertise in analysis across the full installation process from the installation analyses preparation and delivery up to the following of the offshore operations to completion. You will either be a part of a team of installation analysis project engineers, dealing with rigid pipeline installation analysis in project, FEED or tender.
What will you be doing?
- Performs detailed feasibility studies and installation analyses, considering all associated risk and ensure that all safety rules are considered for various operations such as pipe laying, riser installation, pipeline structure in line installation.
- Determines and optimizes operations installation steps, laying methods determination (S-Lay, J-Lay, reeling).
- Ensure the quality of its analyses, and the respect of the planning
- Interfaces with associated subsea related disciplines and understands the interfaces within a project environment.
- Provides engineering support during operations with occasional periods offshore,
- Ensures all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed,
- Participates actively to the PG department knowledge consolidation,
- Proposes innovative solutions allowing cost & risks reduction.
What experience would we like you to have?

- Experience with Finite Element Analysis methods
- Good knowledge of beam theory and Physics of Material
- Demonstrable familiarity with relevant software such as Orcaflex, Abaqus, Python, VBA, etc
- Good communication skills and ability to speak with a variety of stakeholders and who is comfortable working on their own and as part of a team.
- Good report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work, as well as the ability prioritise and organise your work accordingly to meet deadlines set by management.
- This role may involve short spells of overseas travel so candidates may need to show a willingness and flexibility.
