Responsibilities
- Test Analysis and Planning: creation of test approaches and test plans to ensure functional and non-functional requirements are fully covered. Preparation of data to support test execution in the relevant environment(s) aligned to identified test scenarios.
- Test Execution: execution to plan of system functional/non-functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, and globalisation / localisation test phases
- Test Support: provision of support for performance/volume testing and UAT working with 3rd party providers and cross-functional business teams.
- Defect and Issue Management: ability to identify defects/issues in line with the pre-defined/agreed processes ensuring that appropriate data/information has been captured to support the root cause analysis of the issues/defects raised. Working with in-house and 3rd party development teams to ensure resolution of open defects and successful retest.
- Reporting: support for accurate daily reporting through creation of suitably detailed updates regarding test execution and defects/issues raised
- Escalation: ensure any blockers or issues are escalated for the attention of the Test Lead / Manager and/or Workstream Delivery Lead / Programme Manager in a timely manner to ensure progress is
- Be an advocate for Agile ways of working and assist the enablement of other Clarks team members
- KPIs- Creation of robust test scenarios covering all test phases- On time execution of all test scenarios across all test phases- Timely escalation and raising of all bugs/defects found- Full documentation to evidence any bugs/defects in order to expedite resolution- Exemplary communication skills
- The Digital Test Analyst is expected to have relevant and pertinent experience with full knowledge of all tools and methods used to execute robust and complete test validation. This may but is not limited to manual and automated testing methods
- They should have a full understanding of the end-to-end customer and product journeys driven by data with an understanding of key points that determine customer decisions made throughout the journey. Technical awareness of integrations, APIs and Microservices, PSP, Legal and compliance, Tax solutions would be a distinct advantage. Recognised test qualifications are essential. The ability to use stubs mocks and create manufactured data is the desired ability.
- This person will have Ideally used Agile methodologies in full Qualifications
- Must have a proven and referenceable track record of analysing, planning, scripting and executing tests across the various phases of the software delivery lifecycle.
- Solid experience of having delivered test services as part of an ecommerce delivery programme and/or Continuous Improvement workstream within an ecommerce function.
- Experience of having worked as part of a CI/CD development team using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe ).
- Confident in use of industry standard tools e.g. JIRA, Zephyr, Confluence
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and written English skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of functional and non-functional testing strategies.
- Strong functional understanding of common retail and e-commerce systems.
- Experience of testing with ERP, CRM, Integration, PIM, DAM, and BI products required for example MS Dynamics AX 2012, MS SQL, BigCommerce, Bloomreach, Algolia, Amplience, Cloudinary, Enactor OMS, SAP, Hybris, and Mulesoft.
- Experience of testing with on-premise and cloud-based SaaS solutions.
- Experience of working cross-functionally with mixed capability and internal / 3rd party teams.
- Ability to work proficiently and accurately in a fast-paced dynamic environment, with excellent attention to detail.
- A quick learner able to manage change and work with ambiguity.
- Team player able to work to work in a multi discipline retail environment with teams of various levels of experience along with 3rd party teams.
- Able to work well under pressure, to tight deadlines but always maintaining a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently – to organise, manage and prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills – able to clearly communicate often complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences • and share solutions with fellow team members
- Detailed knowledge of manual testing, confident with data and data selection/queries.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of testing across a variety of devices as part of standard ecommerce testing practices.
- Experience of test automation tools an advantage.
- Able to manage expectations, set realistic goals, and deliver to plan.
- Numerate and literate – produces high quality documentation supporting all activities, such as procedures, policies, reports, guides and so on.
