Job Description

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire supply chain function which includes the order processing, manufacturing planning, forecasting, inventory management, warehousing, shipping, and other logistic activities.
  • Key elements of manufacturing planning include production scheduling, capacity planning, material requirement planning, resource allocation, lead time management, cost management, collaboration with suppliers, demand forecasting and compliance.
  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies and goals aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the efficient movement of goods, from production to distribution, optimizing transportation and warehousing. Ensure optimal stock levels to meet demands while minimizing excess inventory costs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, manufacturing operations, purchasing, and finance, to align supply chain activities with overall business goals. Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop analytics, system and data management capabilities including metrics and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards in all supply chain activities.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement strategies to enhance the overall supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruption, cyber risk, fluctuations in demand etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or any relevant field. MBA is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of working experience in supply chain management including production planning, in manufacturing environment.
  • Supply chain processes and management.
  • Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP).
  • Manufacturing plant characteristics, layout, and design.
  • Manufacturing processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Continuous improvement methods (e.g. Process mapping, 5S and Kaizen).
  • Supply Chain analysis and forecasting.
  • Risk management concepts and framework.
