Job Description:
The Assistant Manager - Internal Audit will support our internal audit function by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of our internal controls, risk management processes, and governance.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and conduct audits assigned by Head of Department (HOD) and ensure effective and efficient use of resources.
- Identify, evaluate and proactively manage the risk/ weakness which have significant impact to the business. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Attend entry and exist meetings to ensure audit findings being communicate with the auditees and obtain inputs/ comments/ replies from auditees.
- Ensure adequacy of action taken by the auditees to correct management or control deficiencies, irregularities and non-compliance, and monitor follow-up action.
- Prepare and submit accurate, clear and concise audit report with audit findings, recommendations and management response(s) / action plan(s) within time frame.
- Execute follow-up audit on every three months interval, complete and submit the audit report 2 weeks before the quarterly Audit Committee meeting.
- Coach the junior internal audit executive to identify, analyze and review the data to complete the assignment effectively.
- Support in the development of preventive actions and interventions to ensure continuity if the business.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time basis.
Requirements:
- Candidate pursued with Bachelors Degree in Accountancy/ Finance/ Business Administration or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years relevant experience. Candidate with experience in a property development / public listed company would be an advantage.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- High standards of integrity and ethical practice.
- Able to work within tight deadline.
- Highly dependable, hardworking and dedicated.
- Strong ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling of work assignments.
