Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer at PGEO Edible Oils Sdn Bhd (A Member of Wilmar International Group of Companies) in Pasir Gudang. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as troubleshooting electrical systems, designing process controls, and maintaining instrumentation equipment to ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Power / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in plant electrical engineering work i.e., designing, planning, and overseeing construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment.
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLC (S7-300, S7-400 and S7-1500) will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in project management preferred.
  • Familiar with edible oil, food manufacturing and oleo processing plants.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide support in electrical plant systems, including transformers, switchgear, motor control centres, control & instrument systems.
  • In-charge of all electrical activities in the factory.
  • Delegate electrical works to chargeman and wireman.
  • Install and commission a range of electrical systems.
  • Plan, organize, lead electricians and apprentices on preventive maintenance, instrument calibration, optimization, installation upgrading and control system (PLC, SCADA).
  • Deal with and supervise sub-contractor teams where necessary.
  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with standard procedures and electrical assignments.
  • Maintain records on electrical jobs and assign to appropriate personnel.
  • Comply with all policies, acts, regulations, and procedures implemented by the company and enforced by the governing bodies and authorities.
  • Take part in the implementation of all management systems if required e.g., HACCP, GMP, HALAL, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007, RSPO etc.
