Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and evaluate brand strategy and brand plan to ensure brand objectives are met and support the overall company objectives.
  • Managing of product portfolio to ensure optimization for potential sales and profit margin.
  • Lead in brand and product development with local, regional and global management to ensure local needs are optimized.
  • Manage product quality, and initiate improvement in product and packaging to meet customer/consumer needs. Lead in development and implementation of brand plans which consist of activities, promotions, events, training and programs to achieve brand objectives.
  • Develop success measures, performance monitoring process and making recommendations to meet performance target. Lead in collaboration of strategy and plan between Malaysia & Brunei.
  • Develop long term brand/product communication plans to achieve intended message to targeted audience.
  • Planning and effective utilization of marketing spent to maximize marketing objectives, including close monitoring of budget allocation/spent. Initiate and utilizing of consumer insights and internal data to formulate brand strategy and plans.
  • Ensure stock and support materials availability and managing DSOH to be within control, including close monitoring of under/over stock supplies for effective management.
  • Ensure brand activities adhere to internal and external legal/regulatory obligations and social responsibilities.
  • Coach, motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of direct report to ensure effectiveness and strive for performance.
  • Build and maintain relationships within department, inter-department/division and key external stakeholders to facilitate exchange of brand information as appropriate, obtain buy-in and support from all parties to promote commitment to and smooth implementation of brand strategies. Development of plans to support distributor business needs.
  • Ensure effective brand communication through all available channels, offline and online (social media/digital, social commerce, ATL/BTL, PR, community building).

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in brand management and product development in the health and wellbeing industry.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and market trends in the health and wellness sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of brand management principles and practices
  • Thorough knowledge of brand strategy development
  • Strong strategic planning skills
  • Strong leadership, human relations and interpersonal skills
