Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and innovative Digital Solutions Manager to join GEGM Operations and Technology Department. The Digital Solution Manager will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation initiatives, leveraging technology to enhance customer experience, streamline operations, and improve business efficiency.

Job Description:

  • Digital Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with the company's business objectives, incorporating emerging technologies and industry best practices. Identify opportunities for digital transformation and assess the feasibility of integrating emerging technologies.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and oversee the implementation of digital solutions that enhance customer engagement, streamline internal processes, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay up to date with the latest advancement in technology, particularly those relevant to the insurance industry. Evaluate the suitability of new tools, platforms, and technologies for adoption within the organization.
  • Project Management: Lead digital transformation projects, from inception to delivery, ensuring on-time and on-budget execution.
  • Data Analytics: Utilize data analytics and insights to make informed decisions, optimize processes, and identify areas for improvement in digital solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and third-party partners, ensuring the delivery of quality solutions and services.
  • Cybersecurity and Compliance: Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect digital assets and customer data. Ensure digital solutions adhere to industry regulations and internal compliance standards.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of digital experts, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Reporting and Communication: Regularly report progress, key performance indicators, and digital strategy update to senior management and stakeholders. Communicate the value and impact of digital solutions to different audiences.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with digital initiatives, proactively addressing potential challenges to project success.
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

The Person:

  • Degree Holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years proven experience in digital transformation, digital strategy development, and project management, preferable in financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, including General Insurance related system and its operational processes in an asset.
  • Strong facilitation, coordination, interpersonal, negotiation & communication skills.
  • Sharp conflict management and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
  • Certification in relevant technologies or project management (e.g., PMP, Scrum) is an advantage.
