Senior Health, Safety and Environment Executive

Job Summary

This individual will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of staff, transporters, and others involved in transport and distribution operations, addressing any associated safety and health risks. Additionally, the candidate will provide guidance to transporters on health and safety matters and ensure compliance with HSE standards in transport and distribution operations. The role also involves developing and managing transport safety engagement programs with transporters' management, focusing on enhancing safety leadership and commitment, such as training programs for transporters and participating in safety initiatives with drivers.

Job Description

i. Strategizing, and formulating an annual Transport Safety Plan for plants and ensuring all action plans achieve departmental safety objectives.

ii. Plan, organize and execute safety awareness program, road transport safety campaign and training for drivers as per monthly planning.

iii. Managing the implementation of Pre–Delivery Check (PDC) for all drivers at both plants as to ensure the roadworthiness of truck for delivery. Strictly manage noncompliance and transporters on the vehicle safety requirements.

iv. Lead Investigation of all accidents and incidents involving our trucks on the road and ensure corrective/preventive action is implemented to prevent recurrence.

v. Organizing & managing transporter safety meetings quarterly.

vi. Formulate & manage transport safety engagement programs with transporters' management enhancing transporters' safety leadership & commitment. ie training program for transporters, involvement in safety programs with drivers, etc.

vii. Plan, strategize and lead safety audits for transporters yearly.

viii. Managing all local authorities (ie DOE, DOSH, etc.) for all related requirements for transporting product / raw materials and other relevant parties for any transport safety matter.

ix. Collaborate with other departments in organizing and implementing occupational safety and health program or any new projects.

x. Develop and review transport safety guidelines/SOPs and ensure the implementation of SOPs at both plants.

xi. Responsible for all Transport Safety policy & process setting and improvement.

xii. C0-Managing both Transport Safety Executive in BK & BAH

Qualification

Degree Logistic & Transportation/ Occupational Safety and Health or Environment or equivalent

Desired experience/exposure Experience

Logistics operation more than 5 years and knowledgeable in transport safety/ Professional Certificate in Safety & Health officer recognized by DOSH
