Job Summary: A dedicated financial modeler with strong understanding of Excel and able to perform complex financial analysis in developing actionable solutions to maximise value of Gentari’s portfolio and investments. The role also requires collaborating with business teams to assess investment opportunities that fits Gentari’s strategy and portfolio objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain high-quality, dynamically connected yet easy-to-understand Financial Models e.g. three-statement & DCF models with implementation and integration to various models in Gentari via collaboration with other modelers within businesses and enabling teams (e.g Finance);
  • Develop predictive forecasts e.g. long-term EBITDA, expected capital needs or long term financial metrices such as NPV, ROIC, IRR to shape the most optimal portfolio;
  • Analyse detailed financial statement information to ensure quality of earnings including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and operational data;
  • Challenge and assess reasonableness of assumptions within financial model to ensure accuracy and reflectiveness of market and opportunities of similar nature;
  • Prepare periodic reports, forecast and/or reviews on portfolio health and options to advise management in shaping Gentari’s portfolio;
  • Manage the Gentari Investment Committee which includes providing independent view to drive investment decisions;
  • Assist the team in articulating financial and non-financial data into robust insights/recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (e.g., Business, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or equivalent experience); advanced degree (e.g., MBA), Masters or progress/completion toward a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Accountancy (CA) designation is a plus;
  • Experience from Big4 firms especially Deals & Transactions and consultancy firms are a plus;
  • Strong Excel skills or experience with similar spreadsheet software including the use of VBA macros and charts for dashboarding;
  • Knowledge of accounting standards, complex modelling techniques, financial terminology and best practices;
  • Able to manage time and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;
  • Good attention to detail, eager to learn, positive attitude and team player;
  • Good interpersonal skills to collaborate with other teams within Gentari;
  • Able to articulate financial data into key insights within presentations and making recommendations;
  • Ability to develop Carbon/Emissions Model is a plus.
