Senior Audio Visual Technician

Job Scope:

1. System Design and Development:
2. Participate in the design and development of AV systems tailored to client needs.
3. Create system design drawings using AutoCAD and modify architectural plans to incorporate AV elements.
4. Project Implementation and Coordination:
5. Oversee the entire project lifecycle—from design, installation, programming, and configuration to commissioning and handover.
6. Attend site meetings to coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
7. Conduct site visits to assess client requirements and gather detailed information for design.
8. Post-Project Maintenance and Customer Service:
9. Take the lead in post-project services, including system maintenance and troubleshooting.
10. Provide excellent customer service to enhance satisfaction and maintain positive relationships.
11. Collect and provide feedback to management and the team to improve system performance.
12. Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
13. Supervise and guide junior technicians to ensure high-quality installations.
14. Manage multiple tasks on-site, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
15. Ensure all safety standards, including PPE use and CIDB compliance, are followed.
16. Continuous Learning and Technology Adoption:
17. Stay updated with the latest AV technologies and trends.
18. Participate in product training from partner brands and share knowledge with the team.

Qualifications:

• A Professional Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Information Technology, or Audio Engineering.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in AV system design, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in sound, lighting, video, or ELV systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for AV design drawings and architectural modifications.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in operating audio and visual equipment
• Knowledge of troubleshooting technical issues
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing environments
• Certification or degree in Audio Visual Technology or related field is a plus

Preferred Skills (Add-on Advantages):

• Experience managing AV projects from start to finish.
• Familiarity with PPE and CIDB Green Card compliance.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex system configurations.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CTS, Extron, Dante and etc).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
