The Living History Project is looking for a passionate Business Development Executive to help us bring Malaysia's untold stories to the world and build a bridge between the past and the future!

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Executive to help drive TLHP’s growth through partnerships, sponsorships, and innovative fundraising strategies. This role is about more than just securing funds; it’s about being part of a meaningful journey to empower individuals and safeguard their legacies. Location: Kuala Lumpur

Salary: RM 5,000/month

Working Hours: Monday – Friday (Friday WFH)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute creative business development strategies to secure sponsorships, advertising partnerships, and fundraising opportunities that align with our mission of preserving history.
  • To drive community engagement, we build and nurture relationships with corporate sponsors, government entities, non-profit organisations, and other stakeholders.
  • Create compelling proposals and presentations communicating TLHP’s mission, vision, and value to potential partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement digital marketing strategies that elevate our presence on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Lead outreach efforts for community engagement initiatives, including our groundbreaking projects, such as working with the Orang Asli community and capturing Malaysia’s cultural heritage in 360-degree imagery.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, ideally in social enterprises, museums, non-profits, or community engagement projects.
  • Strong fundraising, sponsorships, and advertising knowledge within a social enterprise setting.
  • Familiarity with various digital tools and platforms (email, search engines, AI productivity apps, etc.).
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) and fluency in at least one other language.
  • Digital marketing experience on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • A positive character with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and initiative-driven with a commitment to project deadlines.
