Settlement Associate, Kuala Lumpur (Overnight Shift)

Job Description

The successful applicant will be responsible are to ensure the efficient processing and control of Payments and Settlement functions in accordance with established procedures with additional daily tasks as directed by the departmental Supervisor / Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Daily processing, control of related financial transactions’ settlement process.
  • Ensuring all payments and settlements are made on time in accordance with different cut-off times and documented procedures.
  • Providing Supervisor with updated information on outstanding items to minimise risk.
  • Verifying, matching of all clearing and settlement accounts.
  • Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations for submission to Supervisor.
  • Filing and Archiving: maintain and manage settlement files, bank records, financial logs and reports.
  • Maintain, manage and update settlement data.
  • All other duties aligned with Payments and settlements as directed by Management.
  • Involvement/participation and testing of projects activities within the payments and settlements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in using online banking is a must.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Good communicator, highly self-motivated, attention to details and team player.
  • Good command of both spoken and written English (Cantonese/Mandarin Advantageous).
  • Proficient in MS Office applications

Other Skills

  • Able to work under pressure, multi-task and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English. Proficiency in spoken Chinese Mandarin is a plus.
  • Proficiency in excel and other windows-based software.
