The role is a project support resource to support the DCS Project, Design & Implementation team in delivering the various projects involving planning, implementation to completion stage.

The resource is also required to work and communicate with multiple teams within the region over the course of the project.

Responsibilities

  1. Coordination with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project milestones are met in a timely manner
  2. Information gathering on requirements from internal teams
  3. Assist structured cabling design in IT rooms and work with vendors on the implementation
  4. Assist to manage purchase requests required for projects, i.e. obtaining and reviewing quotations, obtain approval for purchase, submission of purchase requests through internal system, ensuring timely delivery and payment of purchases
  5. Coordinating various tasks required for the project i.e. site access, delivery, installations, etc.
  6. Provide onsite support for installations and physical inspection to ensure quality of work by vendors (where applicable)
  7. Maintaining of project reports, records, documentations
  8. Update inventory information onto Nlyte
  9. Other tasks as assigned by DCS PDI team lead to support the projects

Requirements

  1. Minimum 5 years working experience with Data Centers and IT Facilities. Knowledge and prior experience in the following:
  2. Physical racking and un-racking of devices
  3. Equipment placements in IT racks (rack assignment)
  4. Structured cabling design and implementation
  5. Understanding of space, power and cooling
  6. Experience in supporting project work

Desired Skills & Education

  1. Minimum Diploma in IT/Engineering or related field
  2. Experience working with IT Service Management tools (e.g Remedy)
  3. Experience working with Inventory management and / or DCIM tools
