Job Description

ENGR I, SUPPLIER QUALITY_TL

Responsibilities

  • Lead Supplier Quality engineering for critical direct materials like lead-frames, ceramic, substrate, tape and reel materials, mold compound, wire, solder paste and etc.
  • Driving supplier quality performance, including new product development and product quality improvement.
  • Overseeing supplier quality team and establishing quality control objectives.
  • Performing supplier quality audits, maintaining supplier quality record.
  • Drive standardization of processes across multiple WW factories SQE/IQA (Material Verification, Supplier Assessments, Qualification, etc.)
  • Monitor existing suppliers to ensure quality objectives are achieved.
  • Lead supplier qualification audits and follow-up with suppliers on corrective and prevention actions.
  • Partner with Global Commodity Managers in reducing cost of materials and components while maintaining a high sensitivity of quality
  • Develop processes to identify potential problems and improvements with design and new products specification
  • Drive and ensure Critical Direct Materials supplier with built-in quality from product development to mass production phases
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and R&D engineers to improve overall product quality by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process
  • Tracking, management and reporting for the assigned quality initiative programs
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related discipline
  • With 5-8 year’s working experience in engineering, quality, supply chain or equivalent
  • Ability to travel independently in domestic and international markets
  • Candidate with IATF16949/VDA 6.3 and certified Lead Auditor is preferred but not required
  • Experience with PPAP/APQP/DFMEA/PFMEA/Control Plan and DFM/DFQ
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics & drawings
  • Strong time management / project management capabilities
  • Mastery of Six Sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of Process Certification/Process Robustness
  • Solid analytic and articulation skills
  • Semiconductor Process/Manufacturing experience
