Our client is a conglomerate with diverse investments across different industries ranging from energy, property, oil and gas. They are now looking to build their M&A and Corporate Finance capabilities to support their strategies in both inorganic and organic growth. Aligned with the expansion of the conglomerate at both entity and group levels, they have several roles and specialisations to form a team with synergistic capabilities. Remuneration and banding will be negotiable depending on overall experience and seniority, in addition to specialisation and leadership capabilities.
Job Description
- Making key decisions involves shaping the financial strategy, risk management and capital structure of the organization which impacts the company's liquidity profitability and long-term sustainability.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Corporate Finance and M&A teams, ensuring a high-performance culture
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments e.g. financial, legal, operations
- Collaborate with finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance
- Valuation and ROI - evaluate and assess investment projects, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy
- Perform financial modelling, valuation and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Track and report financial performance of investments, ensuring value creation
- Lead and manage investor communication which include developing and maintain relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and other financial stakeholders and coordinate and preparation of investors presentations
- Develop and execute the group's funding strategies, ensuring sufficient capital for business growth and expansion
- Optimise group's capital structure and provide recommendations on debt/ equity balance
- Manage due diligence process and review of key transaction documents
- Bachelor's degree in with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field
- Professional qualifications will be an added advantage
- More than 5 years of experience in relevant field and at least 10 years overall work experience
- Prior experience in investment banks, private equity, Big 4 firms or experience in a publicly listed company would be an added advantage
- Possess a strong combination of business/ operational acumen and translating plans into financial projections and models
- Good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with an ability to work with diverse group of people
