NTT DATA Business Solutions is seeking an experienced Service Lead to oversee the operational execution of Backup & Storage services. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring service effectiveness, efficiency, and high-quality delivery within an enterprise environment, aligning closely with the Service Owner and GSAMs to coordinate critical projects and optimize service outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

  • Lead and mentor the Backup & Storage team to ensure high-quality technical solutions and adherence to best practices.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for all Backup & Storage-related issues, maintaining industry standards.

Service Delivery & Quality Management

  • Oversee service operations, ensuring adherence to service descriptions, SLAs, and OLAs.
  • Proactively drive ITIL processes, especially Change and Incident Management, for high performance and compliance.
  • Act as an escalation point in management escalations and major incidents, working towards timely resolutions.

Backup & Storage Management

  • Administer and manage Commvault Backup solutions, including monitoring, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure effective data integrity, retention policies, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Regularly test and validate backup procedures for reliability and oversee storage solutions for availability and performance.

Operational & Resource Management

  • Provide long- and short-term resource forecasting, collaborating with HR for team needs.
  • Oversee service-related utilization, ensuring adequate resource allocation for consistent service delivery.

Communication & Reporting

  • Facilitate operational communication within the service and with stakeholders, handling service-related updates and changes.
  • Provide service reporting and metrics to support service improvement and demonstrate value.

KPI & SLA Management

  • Ensure that SLAs and KPIs for ITIL processes and groups of customers are met, managing incident resolutions and service requests.
  • Review KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain high standards of service.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience with Commvault Backup solutions (design, configuration, management, and troubleshooting).
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise storage systems, including SAN/NAS and cloud storage technologies.
  • Familiarity with backup protocols, data protection principles, disaster recovery, and high availability architectures.
  • Proficient in storage technologies such as RAID, fibre channel, iSCSI, and replication.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in backup and storage management.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or senior technical role is highly desirable.
  • Commvault certifications (e.g., Commvault Certified Professional) are highly desirable.
  • Additional certifications in storage or backup solutions are a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical and non-technical teams.
