Responsibilities:
Cost analysis
- Analyze and evaluate the costs associated with raw materials, production processes, packaging, and distribution to identify areas for improvement and cost improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost optimization initiatives, such as process improvements, waste reduction, supplier negotiations, and alternative sourcing strategies.
Pricing strategy
- Collaborate with the Sales teams to determine appropriate pricing strategies considering costs, market dynamics, competitive factor, and profit margins.
- Prepare cost estimates for new products or customized orders based on raw material prices, manufacturing processes, labor costs, and other relevant factors.
Costing system management
- Maintain and review regularly a costing system that accurately captures all relevant cost data. Ensure the costing system is up-to-date and aligned with standard cost.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliation to ensure the accuracy and integrity of costing data. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
Costing reports
- Generate regular reports on cost variances, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
- Assist in conduction cost of goods sold (COGS), profit margins, and pricing scenarios, to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
- At least 2-3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position preferably with manufacturing industry..
- Knowledge of requirement for Financial Reporting Standard, and costing method.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Experience in integrated real-time ERP system is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
