Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and driven Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts in Malaysia. This full-time role is a key position within our regional marketing team, reporting to the Asia Marketing Manager, and working closely with sales & regional brand equity teams. As the primary liaison between marketing and sales for Malaysia, the Marketing Manager will have full ownership of local marketing initiatives and play a pivotal role in achieving the company’s growth targets in the region. This position offers the opportunity to plan and execute digital and traditional marketing strategies, with a focus on increasing brand awareness, customer engagement, and market share. This role also includes new product launch planning and execution, quarterly marketing planning and budgeting, tracking results and event management. This position encompasses both ATL & BTL marketing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Marketing Strategy: Execute tailored digital marketing strategies for the Malaysian market, with a focus on increasing brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
  • Social Media Management: Oversee the activities of external social media agencies, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitor campaign performance to provide actionable insights and recommendations. Leverage local influencers and community groups to expand the reach of campaigns.
  • On-Ground Marketing Campaigns: Plan and execute on-ground marketing events such as participating in tradeshows, community engagements, and product launch across Malaysia. Ensure alignment of all campaigns with broader marketing goals, brand strategy, and product launches.
  • Budgeting & Performance Reporting: Manage marketing budgets and track ROI, KPIs, and overall performance. Regularly present insights and results to key stakeholders.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, negotiate, and onboard local vendors such as agencies, and event organizers to support marketing campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree (MBA or related) is preferred.
  • 3-7 years of experience in digital and traditional marketing, with a focus on the Malaysia market.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with sales teams and other cross functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian market dynamics, cultural nuances, and consumer behaviour.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, fluency in both English and Malay, both written and verbal.
  • Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working with remote, international teams.
  • Highly adaptable and capable of working autonomously in a startup-like environment.
