Gusto Collective Malaysia is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and passionate Senior / Account Manager who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment with a passion to lead and mentor. You will look forward to developing and growing within an agency representing a dynamic array of international and reputable fashion, luxury, lifestyle, beauty, and hospitality clients.
Your areas of focus will be:
- Account Lead: Lead and drive fashion and luxury account teams and provide support in the development and implementation of integrated communications campaigns using traditional, social and digital tools.
- Client Servicing: Client leadership role providing day-to-day consultancy and client management through close collaboration to support clients’ business objectives and targets for the market. Oversee, track, and review all campaign results to ensure client satisfaction.
- Strategy: Conceptualisation, development, and execution of strategic 360-degree communication plans (with measurable objectives)
- PR: Devise and drive strategy for media pitching, identify and pitch compelling stories and features, provide counsel and media training to spokespersons, lead in crisis management and crisis response when required, and oversee and assist in sample management for fashion brands.
- Social: Implement strategies that push creative boundaries for social media campaigns, identify suitable content creators/collaborators, plan and lead content production with partners and various teams to deliver effective content across social networks.
- Content: Development of key messages and ensure consistency and accuracy of content and marketing collaterals including press release, bios, fact sheet, social media campaign briefs, press kits, website copy, etc.
- Event Management: Assist and work closely with events team to conceptualise events that best suits client’s brief, development of event flow and on-site manpower requirement.
- New Business: Identify new business opportunities and follow-up accordingly, take new business briefs, develop proposals, assess feasibility, and identify working teams based on manpower and suitability. Drive and support new and creative growth strategies.
- Budgeting: Development of quotations within client’s brief and budget while ensuring profitability, negotiation of fees, and payment follow-ups.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain good relationships with external stakeholders including media, social media influencers, clients (existing and potential), and industry partners, and engage in networking sessions to further amplify Gusto Collective Malaysia’s presence locally and regionally. Keep informed of developments and regulations in the fields of communications and public relations and disseminate information to the rest of the team.
- Team Management & Mentorship: Identifying team building opportunities that help maintain a climate that attracts, retains and motivates top quality employees. Contribute to a positive team environment and serve as a direct manager to junior teammates by providing advice and feedback to help them grow, develop their potential, and advance in their careers at Gusto Collective Malaysia. Manage the overall operational and activities of the department.
You will need:
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
- At least 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Communications and/or PR. Previous agency experience with proven track record in client satisfaction is a plus
- A good understanding of global and industry trends in fashion and luxury is a must
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Good leadership skills with ability to drive and lead projects, and mentor, nurture, inspire, motivate, and empower teams
- Strong team management experience
- Understanding of clients’ requirements with ability to execute effectively and efficiently
- Self-motivated and resourceful, with high levels of initiative
- Excellent written and communication skills with an eye for detail
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills with ability to anticipate client requirements and provide strategic support and advice accordingly
- Flexibility, determination, enthusiasm and the ability to cope well under pressure
- Excellent organisational skills
