Summary:
The Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for providing integrations with corporate
datacenters and shared cloud infrastructure services. This role focuses on engineering and
continuous improvement of infrastructure stacks, templates, images, and other artifacts.
Main Tasks / Responsibilities:
A. Functional Responsibilities:
Implement secure network solutions that meet business requirements.
Create and configure virtualized systems in the AWS environment.
Perform infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system efficiency while
minimizing downtime.
Deploy applications in AWS using EC2 instances and Elastic Beanstalk.
Create blueprints using Cloud Formation templates for common workloads.
Maintain, test, and implement disaster recovery procedures.
Implement automation using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) to manage AWS
services.
Build tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources in an
AWS environment.
Develop software components in Java/Python/.NET that interact with AWS cloud
services by leveraging the AWS APIs.
Job Requirements:
B. Education / Certification:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
Solution Architect or System Operations Administrator certification.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud
solutions/infrastructure.
C. Skills:
Troubleshoot Cloud Infrastructure incidents and identify the root causes.
Implement preventive measures.
Cloud Infrastructure maintenance and support.
Security services implementation.
Monitoring and cost-control strategies.
Strong knowledge of AWS.
Familiarity with Windows Server or Enterprise Linux.
D. Project and/or Process Experience:
Strong knowledge and practical experience with AWS.
Familiarity with modern cloud application architecture.
Exposure to cloud managed services and microservices like Function as a Service,
E. Containers, and managed databases.
Familiarity with large systems and migrations.
Experience with setting up load balancers, cloud networks, and virtual servers.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Capable of working under tight deadlines.
F. Intercultural / International Experience:
Experience working in a fast-paced organization.
