About the Job:
The Head of Product is responsible for overseeing the entire product development lifecycle of a holistic platform, from system architecture design to delivery, ensuring the platform is developed according to business goals, technical specifications, and timelines. This role involves managing internal teams and external vendors to ensure the outsourced development work is completed efficiently. The Head of Product plays a key role in future platform expansions and ensuring the product’s scalability, reliability, and alignment with the company’s vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy and Vision: Define the long-term vision, roadmap, and goals for the holistic platform, aligning them with business objectives.
- System Architecture Design: Design and oversee the technical architecture of the holistic platform to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring they deliver high-quality work on time and within budget.
- Internal Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the internal product development and engineering teams, ensuring they stay on track with project deliverables.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other key departments (Sales, Marketing, Operations) to ensure the product meets user needs and market demands.
- Project Management: Oversee the project’s timeline, budget, and resources, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are achieved.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the platform’s features, functionality, and performance meet the company’s standards and user expectations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact between the CEO, executive team, and the development teams to provide regular progress updates.
- Future Expansion Planning: Strategize for the platform’s future expansions, including new features, modules, and system enhancements, ensuring the platform can adapt to growing business needs.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the development process and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
Educational Background:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Product Management, or a related field is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2), Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master), or product management (e.g., AIPMM Certified Product Manager) are highly valued.
- 7-10 years of experience in product management, software development, or technical leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering high-quality software products.
