JOB PURPOSE

This is a key role within the Domestic and International high performing Supply Chain team. You will play a supporting role as a performance senior executive in managing the delivery of the WASSB Board strategy and in turn the Commercial team’s strategy. The role is responsible to ensure full compliance and negotiations for all aviation contracts and lowering Direct Maintenance Costs. You are expected to monitor, develop and manage both internal and global vendor contract performance, the outcome is to ensure contracts are performing as agreed. Primary responsibility is to protect the commercial interests whilst bringing economic value and reducing risk through complete contractual oversight. The role draws on other skillsets to further enhance economic value and lower DMC for the company. This involves supporting the Contract Performance Manager through developing analytical tools to monitor Life Cycle Costs, Componentisation values and Asset Values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Support the Commercial performance management cycle working closely with WASSB and Weststar JV/ Affiliates understanding and educating stakeholders of the life cycle cost.
2. Forecast and track commercial performance delivering lower operating costs across all aircraft operations.
3. Predictive modelling to anticipate future end states for contract negotiations.
4. Ensure intelligence from tenders, market research, industry developments are analysed, captured for modelling economic solutions.
5. Bring real value through economies of scale leveraging WASSB global reach.
6. Consolidate existing and future contracts.
7. Analyse and monitor Life Cycle Costs, Componentisation values and Asset Values.
8. Support Supply Chain though negotiating vendor agreements.
9. Review and monitor Inventory management maximising our cost per aircraft and reducing inventory levels to a sustainable level.
10. Monitor, develop and manage both internal and global vendor contract performance. The outcome is to ensure contracts are performing as agreed.
11. Evaluate commercial vulnerabilities within our global operating cost structure and exploit opportunities creating actionable intervention and response through forward looking plans in order to support business performance.
12. Ensuring our Guaranteed Maintenance Support contract are in compliance.
13. Provide contractual advice during drafting and negotiations.
14. Responsible for periodic auditing to ensure internal contract compliance.
15. In depth understanding of Lease agreements and associated Lessor/Lessee obligations.
16. Lease Agreement Compliance.
17. Ensure “Roll In” “Roll Off” is in accordance with agreements.
18. Provide contract management training to administrators.
19. Communicate contract obligations to administrators.
20. Reconnoitre any commercial impact arising from either WASSB or WASSB JV/Affiliates negligence or contract service provider unfair refutation.
21. Address, field and advise contract queries to/from WASSB and WASSB JV/Affiliate administrators.
22. Ensure company rights and liabilities are protected.
23. Identify gaps and continual improvements to ensure WASSB and WASSB JV/Affiliates interests are protected.
24. Administer contract amendments.
25. Identify Cost Recovery claimable events and prepare supporting documentation.
26. Develop a robust Warranty Management program.
27. Verify monthly reports and invoices as per contract.
28. Ability to prepare reports acceptable to senior management.
29. Monitor external service provider KPIs and update policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
30. The job may entail worldwide travel.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Commercial or legal background
  • Prior contract management experience.

  • Deep knowledge and proven track record of PBH Agreements.
  • Aviation commercial experience.
  • Track record of successful negotiation across all levels of the industry.
