ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· To check and ensure that the contractor carry out their works in accordance to the consultant drawings,
specifications, approved materials and method statements.
· To conduct regular site inspection of all M&E works and works done for Interim claim.
· To check all M&E work materials, deliver to the project site.
· To ensure that the M&E works quality / workmanship is within acceptable tolerance.
· To check all defect rectification works in accordance to approved method statement.
· To carry out work as assigned by the Consulting Engineer.
· To be responsible for the proper keeping and maintenance of the following:
- Schedule of M&E works to be carried out every month specifying in particular the construction/
- fabrication of the key M&E elements.
- Attendance and site record book
- Approved M&E plan, amendments and specifications
- Record of repairs to defective M&E works
· To oversee all work done and sign off by the Inspector of Work (IOW) in accordance to the contract
provisions
· To coordinate with respective consultants on all site works, building works and other Superintending
Officer’s (S.O.) scope of work.
· To report on the work progress to the assigned engineer of the Consulting Engineer prior to the scheduled site meeting.
· To report to the Consulting Engineer for any discrepancies or work done by Contractor not within the specification and contract.
· To ensure in developing and maintaining a proactive safety culture and incorporate safety observations into daily works inspection activity.
· To be responsible and support the Consulting Engineer via the provision of technical insight and knowledge in site works related matters as requested.
· To monitor construction progress against approved design and applicable standards - this infers a broad surveillance role beyond specifically undertaking inspections on request.
· To monitor project(s) delivery against agreed baseline schedules
· To assist the project team of engineers/project managers in the implementation, monitoring and control of the quality of the project.
· To monitor closely and take prompt action on drawing/documents discrepancies and liaise with the project team/consultant to resolve all arising technical issues.
· To monitor and control the quality of works by the sub-contractors, in-house team, suppliers’ quality of materials delivered to ensure the efficiency of the works to the highest level in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
· Responsible for and ensuring with in preparation and always maintaining all site reports/project documents in good order at all the times.
· To update and verify all as built technical drawings in good form.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Candidate must have Certificate of Registration with Board of Engineers Malaysia
· Minimum 10 years working experience site supervision of construction. Prior experience in mechanical and electrical works for mixed use high rise residential projects will be an added advantage. Candidates with extensive works experience but without stated academic qualification are also encouraged to apply. · Required Skill(s): Ms Office, Ms Project, Auto Cad
· Required language: Bahasa Malaysia & English
· Applicants must be willing to work at project site located in Jalan Kuching, Kuala Lumpur
· Highly dedicated, proactive, good interpersonal/communication skill, responsible and team-focused.
· Candidates who are available and can start immediately will be given preference.
MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCES
· Minimum 10 years’ experience
