We are looking for a Business Development Intern who will be working on identifying new markets and acquiring new B2B sales leads for Sunway XFarms. This role offers hands-on experience in business development, events & corporate workshops planning and executions, providing valuable exposure to various aspects of the industry. You will be working with an experienced startup-minded team and directly under both the Business Development & Marketing team of Sunway XFarms. The best of both worlds – you will be part of a successful conglomerate entity, while enjoying the perks and adrenaline of being in a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading growth and developing strategic plans and strategies in areas such as business development, sales, partnerships & customer retention
  • Take charge of lead generation and acquisition of B2B clients (including F&Bs and corporate clients)
  • Manage relationships with B2B clients by providing professional and excellent customer service
  • Support strategic and daily business which includes expanding the business in current markets as well as developing new markets
  • Take charge of events and corporate/community workshop planning and execution
  • Assist the team in terms of running the day-to-day operations, including reporting, performance tracking etc
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and network & attend important industry events
  • Any ad-hoc activities as and when assigned

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Resourceful and strong analytical skills
  • Keen interest in both start-up and corporate world
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset
  • Determined and has a “go-getter” mentality
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Background in CRM, sales, and business development would be an added advantage
  • Familiar with food, menu, and cooking ingredients would be an added advantage
  • Fresh graduates/Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in Business, Mass Communications, Entrepreneurship Events, or similar subjects (not compulsory but passion for sales and business development is what is needed)
  • Possess a car and willing to travel around

Duration: 3-6 months (an opportunity to be converted to full-time based on performance).
