Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Employee Relations Expert to join our Human Resources team to support our APAC operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, fostering positive employee relations, and maintaining a fair and respectful work environment across a culturally diverse region.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations matters, such as performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  2. Investigate and resolve complex or sensitive workplace issues such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns, ensuring legal compliance and minimizing risks.
  3. Develop and implement employee relations policies considering the cultural and legal differences across the APAC region.
  4. Facilitate communication among employees and management by providing consultation and negotiation regarding issues affecting morale, performance, development, and organization culture.
  5. Analyze employee relations trends and provide proactive solutions to address potential workplace issues.
  6. Conduct training and workshops for managers and employees on topics such as workplace ethics, diversity, and inclusion, conflict resolution, and other relevant HR topics.
  7. Leverage employee feedback mechanisms such as surveys, town hall meetings, and one-on-one meetings to identify and address employee relations issues proactively.
  8. Partner with the legal department to ensure all employment actions are compliant with regional laws and regulations.
  9. Develop and maintain positive relationships with labor unions and employee representatives, where applicable.
  10. Manage and oversee the fair and consistent application of company policies and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field. A graduate degree or professional certification in HR/ER is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Employee Relations or HR Generalist role, with significant emphasis on employee relations and a deep understanding of employment law, preferably within the APAC region.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity to navigate the various cultural nuances in the APAC region.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication with a talent for clear and effective communication across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel may be required depending on organizational needs and location of stakeholders.
