Inspector of Work

i. Supervise the works at the site to ensure compliance with the Contract drawings and specifications; ii. Carry out inspections and testing to ensure compliance with quality standards specified in the contract; iii. Approve incoming materials complied with the approved materials list in terms of standards and specifications; iv. Assist the Consultants to carry out detailed inspections and measurements for certification purposes; v. Assist the Consultants in carrying out measurements, cost estimations, and management of changes to the design; vi. Assist the Consultant to coordinate the works of other professionals. vii. During Pre-Construction, the IOW is responsible for inspecting the Contractor’s preliminary requirements and in such doing, they must liaise with the contractor for submissions of the work program, insurance, and all contractual submissions; viii. During Construction, the IOW is required to (A). Reporting, Preparing & Maintaining Records; (B). Coordination of Consultant/ contractor on site; (C). Update progress of work & progress report; (D). Perform the Site Inspection and Testing; (E). Confirm & verify the Building Material; (F). Verify and confirm the execution of Variation Order; (G). Completion and handover; and Post-Completion, the IOW must perform (1) inspection for closure of defect rectification; and (2) Assisting consultant for Final Account preparation. ix. To perform any jobs given by superiors from time to time.
