QC Technician

Job duties and responsibilities: • Understanding and interpreting technical drawings for the quality inspection requirement which includes geometric dimension and tolerance. • Perform First Article (FA), incoming, outgoing and in-process inspection using various metrology equipment. • Perform inspection using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). • Maintain inspection documentation and comply with QMS procedures. • Operate, maintain and calibrate measuring instruments. • Perform visual inspection of part in accordance with the specification or work instruction. • Perform regular cleaning of machine, equipment and the workplace. Maintain high level of house-keeping. • Participate in cost reduction, quality improvement, safety awareness and other activities for continual improvement. Requirements: • Higher NITEC level in mechanical engineering or GCE “O” level with at least 5 years of working experience using CMM. • Able to run machine Mitutoya & Zeiss • Knowledge of PCDMIS, Calypso programming software is an added advantage. • Proficient in understanding engineering drawings with sound knowledge of GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing). • Able to work on rotating shifts. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel. • Good interpersonal and communication skills. • Able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility. • Able to work as a team.
