QC Technician / Lab Technician (Bintulu)

Duties and Responsibilities: • To execute pre-treatment of samples and measurement with high reproducibility. • Conduct routine laboratory testing or any urgent analysis as per superior instruction • To execute the troubleshooting, calibration, and management of instruments according to inspection procedures for analysis instruments. • To carry out sampling safely and properly in good cooperation with Field Engineers by Standard Operations Procedures. • Manage the chemicals, gases, refrigerators, expendable apparatus, exhaust system (LEV), personal protective equipment (PPE), waste treatment, gas storage and or any equipment. • Manage the inventory so as not to generate any obstacle to the process analysis. • Carry out periodical inspections of equipment daily, weekly or monthly as instructed by the superior. • Report the progress of the duties mentioned above to own superior. • Preparing the SOP, documents, reports, summaries, and presentations as assigned by the superior • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory along with maintaining the safe environment of the laboratory. • Other duties as assigned by the superior or Directors of the Company. Requirements: • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting is preferred. o OR - • Candidates with less than 5 years of experience will be considered, especially if they demonstrate strong laboratory understanding and skills. o OR - • Fresh graduates with a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related fields are encouraged to apply, provided they possess a solid foundation in laboratory techniques and principles. Key Qualifications: • Proficiency in conducting various laboratory tests and analyses according to established protocols and procedures. • Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments effectively. • Experience in performing quality control (QC) procedures and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and analyzing data. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report findings. Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) • Experience with analytical techniques such as GC, spectrophotometry, etc. • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and recommend solutions. • Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus. Education: • Diploma in chemistry or laboratory • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related field is required.
