IGCSE Mathematics & Additional Mathematics Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Mathematics teacher specializing in IGCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics. You will be responsible for preparing students for their IGCSE and Additional Mathematics exams, developing their critical thinking skills, and fostering a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities - Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons for IGCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics. - Prepare students for their IGCSE and Additional Mathematics examinations through tailored instruction, mock exams, and revision classes. - Develop and implement effective lesson plans that align with the IGCSE curriculum and learning objectives. - Differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs and learning styles of students. -Assess and evaluate student progress through regular formative and summative assessments. - Provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and guardians to track academic performance and address areas of improvement. - Incorporate technology and other innovative teaching methods to enhance learning and student engagement. - Participate in department meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best teaching practices. - Maintain classroom discipline and manage behavior according to school policies. - Support students in developing problem-solving skills and applying mathematical concepts in real-world situations. - Organize and participate in extracurricular math activities, such as math clubs, competitions, and tutoring sessions. Qualifications & Experience - A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field. - A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is preferred. - Proven experience teaching IGCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics is essential. - Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum and/or Edexcel specifications. - Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to teach complex topics in an accessible manner. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities. - Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. - Desirable Skills Experience in coaching students for mathematics competitions. Knowledge of international educational standards and assessment practices. Ability to inspire a love for mathematics and motivate students to achieve academic excellence.
