MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

As a Maintenance Executive, your role is ensuring the smooth operation of equipment, machinery, and facilities within an organization. Here's a comprehensive job description for the position: 1. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all machinery, equipment, and systems within the organization's facilities. This includes production machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, and other infrastructure. 2. Preventive Maintenance Programs: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of equipment. Schedule routine inspections, lubrications, and part replacements to minimize downtime and reduce the risk of breakdowns. 3. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and rectify equipment malfunctions or breakdowns promptly. Coordinate with maintenance technicians to execute repairs efficiently and effectively, minimizing production downtime. 4. Spare Parts Management: Manage inventory levels of spare parts and maintenance supplies to ensure adequate stock availability for routine maintenance and emergency repairs. Establish relationships with suppliers and vendors to procure parts promptly when needed. 5. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards. Implement safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and provide training to maintenance staff on safe work practices. 6. Team Leadership: Supervise and provide leadership to the maintenance team, including technicians, mechanics, and other personnel. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and conduct performance evaluations to ensure high performance and productivity. 7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, maintenance schedules, and repair histories. Generate reports on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and downtime metrics. 8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization in maintenance operations. Implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase equipment reliability through the adoption of new technologies or methodologies. 9. Emergency Response: Develop and implement contingency plans for responding to equipment failures, emergencies, or natural disasters. Coordinate emergency repairs and ensure timely restoration of operations to minimize disruptions. 10. Vendor Management: Collaborate with external service providers, contractors, and suppliers to outsource specialized maintenance services or procure equipment and parts as needed. Negotiate contracts, oversee service quality, and ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms. 11. Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to equipment maintenance, safety, and environmental compliance. Ensure that maintenance practices align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. 12. Facilities Management: Collaborate with facilities management teams to address infrastructure issues and ensure the overall upkeep and cleanliness of facilities. Qualification. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or related field preferred Proficiency in maintenance techniques for mechanical, electrical.
