HOSTESS

Greets, receives and ushers guests to tables. Handles guests' enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner. Takes down and follows up on reservations according to prescribed procedures. Coordinates with Restaurant Manager in making necessary arrangement for reservations; blocks off reserved tables on floor plan, ensuring that workload is evenly distributed on all sections. Helps in paging guests. Thanks, guests, for their patronage to the restaurant and invite them to come again. Ensures the cleanliness and tidiness of the hostess counter at all times. Adheres to the correct standards of personal appearance and hygiene. Maintains daily check list and updates logbook. Checks with guests personally to ensure total satisfaction. Maintains excellent guest relations. Ensures cleanliness and tidiness of back areas and safety precaution. Maintains team co-operation. Performs duties as assigned on daily / weekly / monthly basis as determined by the Restaurant Manager. Informs the Restaurant Manager regarding any significant comments / complaints / problems occurring within the shift. Assists in performing clerical duties such as filing reports, memo and prepare daily attendance reports and weekly time sheets for the outlet, as assigned. Has a complete understanding of the Hotel's policies and procedures and adheres to the Hotel's Employee Rules and Regulations. Serving Alcohol
