About the Job Our client is looking for an experienced BIM Modeller to join their team on a 12-month contract, based in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing 3D models using BIM software while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project specifications. A key aspect of this position involves coordinating the design and documentation of fire detection and suppression systems, ensuring all models are precise and aligned with project goals. Working arrangements Monday - Saturday | 0800 am - 0700 pm Job Responsibilities Create and Maintain 3D Models: Utilize BIM software to develop and manage 3D models that meet project specifications and requirements. Collaborate with Design Teams: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and accuracy in designs. Identify and Resolve Conflicts: Use BIM models to detect and address design clashes or issues early in the project phase. Lead BIM Team: Supervise a team of BIM Modellers and Coordinators, guiding them to prepare BIM Execution Plans or Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Execution Plans. Prepare Engineering Drawings: Perform design tasks and create engineering drawings (3D) as per customer or project requirements. Attend Project Meetings: Actively participate in project meetings, manage assigned tasks, and report daily or weekly progress at the project site. Design Fire Safety Systems: Design Fire Alarm Systems, High Sensitivity Smoke Detection (HSSD) Systems, and Fire Protection Systems as part of the project scope. File Management: Properly store and organize completed project drawings in the project folder. Qualifications & Experiences Needed Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with a focus on Fire Detection, Protection & Suppression systems preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit 3D, and Navisworks software is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. Team-oriented, with strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities. Resourceful and results-oriented, with good business acumen. Candidates with no prior experience but a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
