We are seeking suitable candidates to apply for the Childcare Assistant position at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. Job Responsibilities: 1. To contribute to a planned programmed of activities suitable to the age range of children in conjunction with other staff. 2. To keep a proper record of file on key children, for parents / carers. 3. Work alongside parents / carers of special needs and to provide full integration to children. 4. Support all staff and engage in a good staff team. 5. Strive to safeguard children by working to the organisation’s safeguarding Code of Conduct. 6. To attend ALL out of working hour’s activities, training, monthly staff meeting and any event when planned. 7. To be flexible within working practices of Centre. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the centre, preparation meals, cleansing of equipment’s etc. 8. Work alongside with superior and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled. 9. Look upon where you can help be most utilized be constantly aware of the needs of children. 10. Recording accidents in the accidents book, ensure the superior has initialled the report before the parents receives it. 11. Ensure child is collected by someone known. 12. To respect the confidentiality of information received. 13. To develop your role within the team especially with regards as a key worker. 14. The preparation and completion of activities to suit the child’s stage of development. 15. To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing. 16. Washing and changing children as required. 17. Providing comfort and warm to an ill child. Job Responsibilities: 1. Minimum SPM 2. KAAK (Kursus Asuhan Kanak-kanak) or Permata. 3. You may be required to complete the childcare course (KAAK/Permata) upon confirmation 4. Good interpersonal skills 5. Good written and oral communication 6. Out spoken person, need to communicate with parents regarding children’s progress. 7. At least one year experience working in a childcare centre or in any related field. 8. Have a good verbal communication, responsive relationships with children 9. Work with passion 10. Able to communicate with children in friendly and appropriate manner
