MECHANICAL ENGINEER - MEINHARDT EPCM(ROLE BASED IN LUMUT)

• Should have good knowledge about Belt Conveyors, preferably high capacity conveyors, and conveyor components. • Should be conversant with the operation of material handling equipment like Ship Unloader, Ship Loader, Stacker, Reclaimers etc with all interfaces with other service disciplines like civil, utilities (water & air), electrical, instrumentation & automation etc. • Should possess good knowledge of the equipment components to prepare technical specifications to float to the market. • Shall be able to evaluate any improvement / site work carried out by Contractors are aligned with the provisions in the existing environment laws, Act 1974 and laws dealing with disposal of solid waste including the Solid Waste and and Public Cleansing Management Act 2007. • Should collect all the relevant information from all stake holders (inter disciplines, Client’s team) to include and finalize technical specifications. • Should be able to collect the technical information from the site as needed by different stake holders to complete the work, • Should be able to define the project scope and it’s objectives, • Should be able to do site survey, assess existing facilities, difficulties, interferences etc. for the Project and include appropriately in the specifications for Suppliers and Subcontractors, • Interpret and clarify all available technical information, ensuring consistency between the documents, with the inspection and the thirdparty companies in the phases of electromechanical assembly, commissioning, cold and hot tests. • Should be able to evaluate and propose modifications / field solutions and / or analyze those suggested by the inspection and / or Contractors. • Should be able to analyze the construction methods proposed by the Contractors, including field verification, can propose possible alternative solutions to optimize the deadlines, costs and east the constructability wherever applicable. • Accompany and support the technicians / designers, whenever necessary, in the field activities, interviews, consultation of documentation and technical drawings, consultation with suppliers and other activities necessary for the project development. • Act effectively in the field, especially when performing important or critical activities, when the presence must be full-time. • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to Project Manager about strategy, adjustments, and progress, • Adhere to the timelines and the targets given by the Project Manager, • Attend review meetings, assist Project Manager in establishing action items, follow-up to close the action items in time, • Capable of working in an international environment with virtual teams • Analyze the progress submitted by Contractors and submit to Project Manager for certification,
