We specialize in the design, installation, and maintenance of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems. As part of our expansion plans, we are seeking a skilled and certified Grid-Connected PV Systems Designer to join our dynamic team. JOB SUMMARY: As a Solar Technical Design PV Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and implementation of solar photovoltaic projects across Malaysia. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective integration of PV systems into the grid, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Design grid-connected PV systems tailored to meet client requirements and project specifications. • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal locations for PV installations. • Prepare detailed technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for PV system components. • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to integrate PV systems seamlessly into existing infrastructure. • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards governing PV system installations. • Evaluate and select appropriate PV modules, inverters, mounting systems, and balance-of-system components. • Perform performance simulations and energy production analysis to forecast system output and efficiency. • Provide technical support and guidance during the construction, commissioning, and testing phases of PV projects. • Capable of carrying out project and sales presentations to clients effectively, demonstrating technical expertise and value proposition. • Assist in concluding deals effectively by providing technical insights and addressing client inquiries and concerns. • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the field of solar photovoltaics. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. • Certified Grid-Connected Photovoltaic (PV) Systems Designer by SEDA • Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and implementing grid-connected PV systems. • Proficiency in PV system design software such as PVSYST, HelioScope, or equivalent. • Strong understanding of electrical principles, power electronics, and grid integration requirements. • Familiarity with Malaysian regulations and standards governing solar PV installations. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. • Demonstrated capability to conduct project and sales presentations, effectively communicating technical concepts and value propositions to clients. • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet project deadlines.
