Join us and become an IT warrior with Robust HPC! Requirements We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Linux Engineer to join our IT operations team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and maintaining Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and cloud environments is highly desirable. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot complex issues, implement robust solutions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure. Qualifications: • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. • Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator or Engineer. • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line tools. • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef). • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). • Familiarity with virtualization and containerization concepts and technologies. • Knowledge of security best practices and tools (firewalls, SELinux, intrusion detection). • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions. • Experience with public and private cloud platforms. • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). • Certification in Linux (RHCE, CompTIA Linux+, etc.) is a plus. • Experience with version control systems (Git). Responsibility Linux Server Management: • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL, etc.). • Perform routine system administration tasks, including patch management, backups, and monitoring. • Ensure system security and compliance with company policies and industry standards. • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: • Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability. • Optimize server configurations for performance improvements. • Analyze system logs and identify potential issues. Troubleshooting and Support: • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for Linux-based systems. • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner. • Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues. VDI and Cloud Environment Management (Good to Have): • Manage and maintain VDI solutions, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization. • Configure and manage cloud infrastructure (Private and Public) and integrate with existing systems. • Implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). Automation and Scripting: • Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation of tasks. • Implement automation tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Documentation and Reporting: • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes. • Generate reports on system performance, security status, and other key metrics.
