Internship for Safety & Health

RESPONSIBILITIES • To assist in EHS workplace inspections • To assist in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing according to standards and procedures and compliance with legal and other requirements • To learn and observe various aspects of the organization's operations and work processes to identify unsafe acts and conditions. •To conduct simple training or briefing to employees or contractors on EHS rules and regulations implemented in the organization. • To assist in PPE management and monitor PPE compliance among workers • To assist in EHS legal monitoring, updates, and reporting • Assignment to specific projects or tasks for improvements on EHS enhancement. • Preparing checklists, reports, records or documentation relevant to EHS for tracking achievement and contribution adds value to internship evaluation performance. • Assist the EHS department on other tasks as needed. REQUIREMENTS • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management • Familiar with EHS-relevant legal legislations, e.g.: Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, Environmental Quality Act 1974, Factories and Machinery Act 1967, etc. • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Office, and other creative multimedia tools. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Able to work independently. • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, additional advantage if well-versed in Mandarin.
