Role Description Service delivery specialists are responsible for ensuring that the services provided by their organization are delivered in a timely, efficient, and effective manner. They commonly work with service providers or contractors to coordinate the provision of these services. Service delivery specialists may also be tasked with developing new ways to deliver services within their organization. This might include identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, or otherwise optimize how services are delivered. Responsibilities: - High teamwork spirit and sense of responsibility to ensure a smooth day-to-day operation. - Assembling and managing servers this includes: - Hardware: This includes knowledge of Server components, such as CPUs, RAM, and storage devices. - Operating systems: This includes knowledge of Linux (e.g. CentOS, Almalinux, Ubuntu, Debian), Windows server, and macOS operating systems. - Networking: This includes knowledge of network concepts, such as IP addressing and routing. - Managing rules on the network-level firewall. - Security: This includes knowledge of security concepts, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. - Software: This includes knowledge of common software applications, such as Microsoft Office. - Control Panel: Configuration of server control panels (e.g. Plesk, cPanel, CWP, VestaCP). - Monitoring: Manage and monitor hosted services such as VPS and dedicated servers. - This includes ensuring that the services are up and running, resolving any issues that may arise, and optimizing the performance of the services. - Work with customers to understand their needs. This includes understanding the customer's business requirements, the applications that they are running, and the level of service that they expect. - Configure and deploy hosted services such as VPS, Dedicated server, Firewall, and Network Switch. This includes installing the services, configuring the settings, and testing the services to ensure that they are working properly. - Manage and track service level agreements (SLAs). This includes ensuring that the services are meeting the agreed-upon SLAs, and escalating any issues that are not meeting the SLAs. Requirements and Qualifications: - Service Delivery Management and Service Delivery skills. - Analytical Skills to analyse customer requirements and the ability to provide solutions that meet those requirements while effectively managing customer expectations. - Ability to manage customer expectations and ensure overall customer satisfaction - Skills in analyzing data to monitor customer performance and identify trends and areas for improvement in service delivery - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related experience is preferred - Experience in the web hosting industry is a plus - Excellent Communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and senior management. - Ability to work independently with a goal-oriented mindset. - Understanding of technologies used in large organizations to deliver IT services. - Strong experience in operating systems such as Linux, and Windows server OS. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities. - Ability to work independently with a goal-oriented mindset. - Able to work Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM or more depending on the task given with rotational weekend duty.
